Your dentist then examines your teeth, gums and bite, screens for signs of mouth cancer, and takes any X-rays or photographs the examination calls for. Before you go, you'll have a written list of options with the fee beside each one, and our advice on which dental plan, if any, would suit you. The fee is £95, X-rays included, or £55 when you book online as a new patient, and your medical history forms can be completed on your phone before you arrive.

No. Adults are seen privately and private appointments have no waiting list, so you can book a new patient examination online or by phone at a time that suits you. Children of our dental plan members can join as NHS patients without waiting. We're open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with later appointments by arrangement.

We're at 3 Comely Bank Road, Edinburgh EH4 1AN, a short walk from Stockbridge. From the New Town, the West End or Dean Village, allow 15 to 20 minutes on foot. Lothian Buses 24 and 29 both stop on Comely Bank, at Flora Stevenson School and Learmonth Grove, and from Haymarket station you can take a bus or a taxi.
